Yippee! Friday has finally arrived.
I was up super duper early (for me!) at 6:45 this morning so I could finish my packing and head into work. I actually find it’s easier to wake up super early than kind of early. Anyone else? Kind of early I’m getting with the program, so when my alarm goes of I’m conscious enough to think about sleeping some more… how I can avoid getting out of bed… etc. But when my alarm goes off and it’s really early it’s just a big shock and I tend to leap up! That was me today.
After my shower I headed downstairs to see what would make a quick brekkie. No stove-top oats today! Instead I came up with this:

I took a 1/2 cup of vanilla soy milk and a sliced banana and warmed it in the microwave for a little over a minute. On top, I added a 1/2 cup of Nature’s Path granola, a tbsp. of flax, cinnamon and a scoop of raw almond butter. Oh man was it delicious! Warm bananas and milk is the ultimate morning comfort food. Especially when consumed on my flowery bed :O).
So now I’m just speeding through my work day before my 6:30 flight to Cleveland tonight. Last time I went home I (idiot) took the wrong metro to the airport and then left my purse at security. I almost missed my flight!! Oh the stress. So I’m being extra-careful tonight!!
Tomorrow we may or may not head to Cincinatti to meet my brother for lunch. He lives in Chicago so it’s rare we’re ever so close. Have to take advantage! I hope it works out. Let the birthday celebrations begin!
