As promised, Halloween costume picture time!
I am not a talented Halloween costume maker. With my parents being British, I don’t think we really got into Halloween the way most American families do and so I never really picked up a flair for costume making. Well that’s my excuse anyway! I went as cotton candy, which was achieved by me pinning cotton and candy wrappers on a pink shirt :O). My friend Rachel went as swine flu and as you can tell, she is a little more creative than yours truly!

We decided her impressive efforts balanced out my lack of :O).
It was a night of house parties. We went to a pre-drink out in the Dupont Circle area first and then headed to Georgetown for the main event. It was a cool space – the host of the party is an artist and her studio is right on the waterfront. The other half of her building is unoccupied, making it a fabulous party space! We were happy to take advantage :O).
At the ripe old age of 24, I am not young like I used to be. After a few drinks my world was a bit spinny and I haven’t been feeling my best today! Luckily I did manage to muster up the energy to head out to meet my friend Jackie for our usual Sunday supper. We walked over to Paper Moon in Georgetown which came highly recommended by one of my roommates. It was adorable inside! And the food was delish. As always, my camera apologizes for its lack-luster efforts in dim lighting.

Ooey Gooey lasagna

Canoli, my fave dessert of all time.
Is that a “Beth is Hungover” meal or what!? Not a green in sight :O). This is why partying is not something I prefer to make a regular habit these days! You’ll be pleased to hear I did manage to drink a glass of wine with dinner. Don’t they say more alcohol is a good hangover cure???
So with that I think it’s time to make some tea and curl up with my book. That’s more like it.

Alright I’ll just say it – you should have painted your face pink
haha, next year?? :O)
I am a year older than you and I feel doubly awful! I felt super spinny too, but it was way too much fun to not be out! Looks like a great time!
I am totally an old lady at 24 as well… I had 1 glass of wine with dinner last night and was seriously loopy! But I love it
.
Dinner looks great- love a great slice of lasagna!
I LOVE the swine flu costume. She had a cute idea.
They say that more alcohol is the cure, but I’ve yet to find that true. Hehe.
