Success! For the first time since I started my earlier hours last week I actually managed to get out of bed in time to make stove-top oatmeal. And oh boy am I glad I did. They were quite possibly the best oats I’ve ever made in my life. I credit the insanely delicious addition of maple syrup, and the fact that I have been really missing my oats lately!

In the past I have received a few comments that my blog features too many bowls of oats (is there really such thing??), but I’m afraid it’s just something that cannot be helped. Every time I make them they just look so beautiful I have to snap a pic. This bowl was no exception!
This is:
- 1/3 cup each oats/vanilla soy milk/water
- splash of vanilla
- tbsp. flax
- 1 banana
- tbsp. of maple syrup
- scoop of raw almond butter
Have you ever had maple syrup on oats before? Please try it. I have never tasted anything so amazing as this ultra melty maple yumminess. Definitely a breakfast to be repeated! As long as I can convince myself to get out of bed in time now :O).
