I’m back and back in action. Sadly, I’m also sick
. I don’t do well on as little sleep as I have been getting and when I woke up this morning I had no voice!! And all those other no fun things that come with a cold. Blargh.
Good news is, Fit Bloggin was excellent! And I LOVE Baltimore I’ve decided. Look at the view from our room!

That picture was taken Saturday morning as we got back from our 5 K run. When our run began it was still dark outside, but as we headed back the sun was just coming up. Gorgeous
.
After our showers, it was time for breakfast and then a full day of conferencing. Of course, oatmeal was the breakfast of choice!

We spent the morning and afternoon in various seminars… getting published, pitching to media, making money on your blog and enhancing your blogs visibility…all of which I thought were very well done and informative. We had two in the morning and two in the afternoon with a delicious lunch break in between.

Grilled veggie sandwich, spinach, goat cheese and roasted beet salad and mushroom soup. It was a very yummy, healthy-living conference appropriate lunch
. And dessert was just beautiful!

I actually HATE jello but I have no complaints about the raspberry and whip cream I ate off the top!!
The conference sponsors were soooo generous, I couldn’t believe it! We got free tennis shoes and running shorts, kitchen and bathroom scales, work out DVDs, raw bakery, bamboo t-shirts etc. etc. etc. I’d like to spend a bit more time talking about things once I’ve actually used them so expect some forthcoming reviews (and giveaways!).
Post conference I had plans to go for dinner with some fellow bloggers but sadly I was pretty beat by the time it was over and really just wanted to get back to DC. Luckily we had a lovely reception complete with sushi which made for a quick supper before my train home.

Honestly, it was such an all-around impressively great experience. The city was beautiful, the conference was very relevant, the sponsors were so kind to us and most of all it was GREAT to finally meet so many of the bloggers I’ve been reading over the past year or so. I will certainly make it a point to attend these bloggy conferences as much as possible in future!
So, I’m off to enjoy the last little bit of my weekend and all its glorious sunshine before work tomorrow. I’ll see you then!
