You’ll be pleased to hear this is the last of my birthday posts. The celebrations carried on for several days and just as I was celebrated out by the time they were finished, I think I’ll be posted out after this
. So thanks for sticking with me!
For the final round, a little Tuesday night celebration with two of my very favorite people, who were unable to attend the fun on Monday. Joelle and Louisa! We met at Fireworks in Arlington. It was under consideration for lunch on Monday but pizza seemed like an odd match with wine tasting. So I’m glad we had the chance to try this location the next night.
They happened to be celebrating Mardi Gras which pretty much just meant we enjoyed our dinner while wearing beads
. We were hoping for fun drink specials but there were none to be had. Instead, a (fairly) local beer!
Yum.
And to eat, pizza of course!
With pesto, salami, mozzarella, goat cheese, spinach and roasted red peppers. Not the best pizza of all time as I prefer a slightly doughier crust – but still pretty delish!
Then Louisa lectured us on how there is no such thing as mistakes while Joelle and I tried to find our eternally lost souls. My little sister is so wise
.
So yes! That’s 27. I’ve been spending the last few days planted in the library and catching up. Tomorrow it’s back to work at Hume and then I think a well-behaved weekend is in order. See you soon!

Glad your birthday celebrations were so fabulous. Good food, friends and family- best combo!
Nothing wrong with a long birthday celebration. Only happens once a year, so live it up!
Eternally lost?! NO. I REFUSE. Let’s just open up that darn bakery/yoga studio and be done with it.
ugh, can we??
Happy Late Birthday…again! Pizza sounds great to me…
I love dragging my birthday out as long as I can too!
Happy 27th!! You are so young!!
