Hi, I’m Beth – welcome to my blog!
I love shopping for, cooking, discovering, photographing, talking and writing about good food. And I really love to eat it!
Dining and Dishing began in June of 2009, shortly after I moved from my hometown of Cleveland to Washington DC. I’ve since taken an evening culinary program at L’Academie de Cuisine, enrolled in a food writing class completed a photography course.
In August of 2011 I finally took a leap and quit my editorial desk job in hopes of finding something that will make me truly happy. I’ve dabbled in a few winery tasting room jobs since then and now I’m looking for my next step. It should be quite an adventure and I hope you’ll join me for the ride!

Hi Beth! Thanks for the comment on my blog! I grew up in Northern VA and my parents still live there (so still my home!). You have quite a resume there. I love meeting new bloggers and I can’t wait to get to know you.
Hi Beth – What a delicious blog!
Just clicked through a link on a comment you left on http://poiseinparma.wordpress.com/believe-in-cleveland/. I’m in DC too. Just saying hello and that your cooking photos are amazing. Love the healthy approach, which I need to get back too (cough). Haven’t gone through the restaurant section, but if you haven’t been to Domku for kielbasa, this Parma native recommends it! Once I have a job again – yes, I’m looking – I want to try out their pierogi too.
Tracy

You have such an interesting history – I love it! I really enjoy your blog. It’s fun to watch you chase your dreams.
Hello Beth, love your blog and your food philosophy!! Everything in balance. I am a “foodie” as well. Own are restaurant with my Mom. We serve our garden produce and cook from scratch. Just enjoyed some Sourdough pancakes from 150 yr old start!
If you ever head West, Calderas is a wonderful place, beyond the imagination and my ability to try and explain it, We are artists as well, so the inside is quite amazing. Another great restaurant you would love is Glow. It is in ketchum ID, all raw food restaurant. They make hemp milk smoothies, your favorite right!
Keep on writing, this is great!
If you ever want to cook for a Summer in NE Oregon (little Switzerland) let me know.
